Since 1968, the iconic tri-colour branding of Italian vermouth maker Martini, has been synonymous with the world of motorsport. A familiar sight in paddocks, pits and rally stages, the red, navy and blue stripes of Martini Racing™ have graced the bodies of some of the fastest, most beautiful and successful vehicles in 20th century motorsport.
So it was perhaps no surprise that B.R.M Chronographes, the independent French luxury watch brand, driven by CEO Bernard Richards, and well known for its ties to motorsport, would collaborate with Martini Racing™ on a range of remarkably sporty timepieces.
The latest addition to B.R.M Chronographes x Martini Racing™ watch collection is the R50-TN-MR for Martini Racing. A 50mm titanium bodied timepiece, infused with the spirit and colour scheme of Martini Racing™ and fuelled with motorsport DNA. In a metaphorical sense that is. Practically speaking, the R50-TN-MR is powered by an in-house designed, developed and produced skeletonised automatic movement, with fuel gauge inspired power reserve, which when fully wound offers 48 hours of colourful timekeeping.
Mounted to the aforementioned titanium case with a trio of triangular carbon fibre mounts to minimise the impact of shocks and jolts on the race track, the Martini Racing™ R50 wristwatch is ready for post-race pool side celebrations too, thanks to a water resistance rating of 100m.
